Academic Program During the semester, students enroll in the CIEE language course, Advanced Spanish (1.0 Pomona credit) and courses at either the Universidad de Chile, the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, or the Universidad Diego Portales. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 16 semester credits in order to receive 4.0 Pomona credits.
Pomona students may not enroll in university courses taught in English.
Students are not permitted to take any courses taught by the CIEE study center on a P/NC basis, however, students may take direct enrollment university courses on a P/NC basis.
Living Arrangements Students live and take their meals in Chilean homes.
Number of Students CIEE enrolls between 35 – 50 students, selected from a national pool. The partner universities have enrollment ranging from 12,000 to 23,000 students.
